Getting to Know You Bingo
Getting To Know You Bingo is a great mingling game that helps people get to know interesting facts about each other! It’s useful for corporate parties, classrooms, retreats, and many other settings where you would like to break the ice. This game works great for large and extremely large groups.
The goal of Getting To Know You Bingo is to get five squares in a row — vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. To get a square, you need to find someone who can say “yes” to the item in the square. For example, if the square says “owns a dog,” then if you find someone who currently owns a dog, then that person can sign their name in that square.
Setup for Getting To Know You Bingo
You will need to prepare a 5×5 Bingo sheet and print out one copy for each player. Each person also needs a pen or pencil. Create your own bingo sheet or download our printable bingo sheet below. The Bingo sheet can be customized to various interesting details about a person’s interests, hobbies, and so on.
Playing the Getting To Know You Bingo Game
Give everyone a bingo sheet and a pen. Ask everyone to stand up and mingle with each other, introducing names and asking questions about each other. As people find other people who can say “yes” to squares on the sheet, they can sign their name on that square. You cannot use the same person for multiple squares.
Once someone has five in a row, they yell out “BINGO!” Everyone stops and then they read the five names and five items. You can ask each person to confirm or prove that the box is indeed true. For example, if the winning bingo sheet had John Smith sign his name for “Can do 50 pushups in a row,” you can ask John to do fifty pushups to prove that it is true.
Enjoy and have fun with this excellent party game that helps people get to know interesting facts about each other!
