Pin the Tail on the Donkey
Pin the Tail on the Donkey is a classic party game for kids. It’s easy to play and doesn’t require too much preparation. The goal is to place a tail onto the donkey while blindfolded, trying to get as close as you can to the donkey’s rear end!
Setup for Pin the Tail on the Donkey
You will need a blindfold, a large picture of a donkey (which you can make one yourself or you can print several copies) and also several donkey “tails” that have adhesive, tape or sticky tack. Print out or draw a large picture of a donkey with no tail. Mark an “X” where the tail should be.
Playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey
Blindfold the child. Spin the child around a few times and then lead him or her to the donkey. Give the child the “tail” and ask the child to place the tail onto the donkey, wherever the child thinks the tail should be.
Mark the placement of the tail with a pen or use a new donkey picture for the next child. Whoever gets the tail closest to the proper position on the donkey is the winner!
